The man who said that the Rapture would happen last Saturday, admitted that he was wrong.... about the date. Yes the 89 year old man says that the Rapture will still happen, just five months later then he thought it would.
Now that isn't good for the poor people who gave up their possessions or spent their hard earned money or in some peoples cases their retirement savings helping spread the his word that the world was coming to an end. The only people who did come out on top, next to the people who didn't believe him, where the ones who were able to find a way to make a quick buck off of his prediction.
Now this isn't the first time the man, whose name is Harold Camping, has been wrong at predicting the end. He apparently made a similar claim back in 1994.
Now thank goodness there wasn't any mass panic over this, even though he probably wouldn't have gotten into trouble if that happen, even though one could claim that its like yelling "Fire" in a crowded movie theater. Something you shouldn't do.
The first amendment would protect him, even though it wouldn't protect the person who yelled 'Fire" in a crowded movie theater. Unless maybe there was actually a fire in the movie theater.
Well with the fear of Judgment Day over with for the next five months, its time to get on with our lives.
